Applicable only to Belgian residents: For any donation received as from 1 January 2024 (of minimum €40.00) the Federal Public Service Finance requires charities to ask for the donor national register number, the latter must henceforth be mentioned on the tax certificate 281.71.  

Why?  

Thanks to the national number, the government will be able to identify with certainty donors, who could be entitled to a tax reduction. The tax benefit can then be “automatically” allocated to the donor via the tax return form.   

Any donor can provide us with this information via our website and/or email, and/or Beyond the Moon will request it. This personal data being confidential, it will only be used for tax purposes. We thank everyone who supports us and spontaneously cooperates!
