Children with oncological and haematological diseases are treated in our clinic. Often children and their families leave the clinic in a good condition. However, others spend many months and sometimes even years at the clinic. Sometimes it is hard for them to remember that they are children, as they experience a lot of restrictions. And their daily life centers on the disease and treatment. The Beyond the Moon vacation enabled a couple of our patients and their families to experience wonderful moments of joy and rest at Disneyland Paris, or in a Center Parcs, reminding them what life can be like, far away from this world of doctors, nurses, and treatments.
