OUR INTERACTIVE 3D MURALS

"The paper tear on the wall, used as an outline, adds depth to each mural and is the trademark of our painting project."

The paper tear is applied to all our interactive 3D murals in the participating hospitals, making them instantly recognizable as the work of Beyond the Moon. However, each interactive 3D mural is unique and shows variations in detail for each children's hospital.

We use the trompe-l'œil technique, which creates an optical 3D effect that adds depth to the room. This is particularly effective in small isolation rooms, providing a great solution that significantly enhances the comfort of the stay.

We connect this to our holiday project by bringing to life an imaginative holiday experience of an animal family as a central theme. Our murals inspire children to look forward with hope to a similar experience with their own family.

The best proof of this is this beautiful testimonial of a father, who sat with his sick son in the waiting room of the ZNA Paola Children's Hospital in Antwerp:

Son: "Wow, how beautiful! I'd like to swim among fish, too, Dad. Even with such diving goggles. »
Dad: "Well boy, because you are always so brave, we will make sure that you get better soon after your next treatment. Then we can ask Beyond the Moon to arrange a stay at Center Parcs for us, so that we can snorkel together. Deal? High five!"
Son: "Oh yes, that would be really cool!"

Our colorful, playful, and cheerful 3D murals spark children's imaginations and inspire their dreams. They encourage interaction with the sick child and provide enjoyment. Our murals offer distraction during consultations and hospital stays, which are often associated with stress, anxiety, loneliness, and long waiting times.
